It’s always nice to see people excited and enthused about diving. A week ago I had the opportunity to witness this energy from three fantastic ladies from Kansas. They showed up and knew exactly what they wanted to accomplish; dive, dive, dive! The first day I guided them we were in Islamorada. We took them to a couple patch reefs, where we encountered 6-7 nurse sharks, spotted eels, and a friendly green moray eel. I wasn’t scheduled to guide them on there next dive trip the following day, they were in Islamorada and I was scheduled in Key Largo. But fate intervened and we found ourselves again diving together here in Key Largo. This went on for three days and we had beautiful conditions and great diving, except for one confused divemaster moment, and one malnutrioned diver. Kathy, Staci and Christine will be missed, but I have a feeling we’ll be seeing them again soon. I’ll keep a seat at Rum Runners warm for them…

Please enjoy some of Kathy’s photos…
