We are very pleased and proud to introduce you to the newest vessel in the Rainbow Reef Fleet! The TROPICAL ADVENTURE! She is a 42 foot Newton, and powered by two 300hp John Deere engines. We’ve been working on getting this boat since last summer, and finally it all came together. As I’m writing this, I’m just back from running her maiden voyage with customers out to Snapper Ledge and Fire Coral cave. We had 14 divers, and one of them was our good friend and most frequent customer, Mr. George Yates. It was really windy today and she powered right through the 2-3 foot waves at 19 knots giving everyone on board a smooth ride. For as much wind as we had, the diving was still pretty good, there was no current and probably about 50 feet of visibility in mostly blue water.

Of course, we still love all of our boats. The Tropical Voyager is staying right in Key Largo and the Tropical Explorer is going to return to Islamorada to partner with the Tropical Daze to hit all of the reefs and wrecks a little further south.

We hope to see you soon..

Really wish we had gone larger with that graphic for the side. By the looks of it, we could have gone at least another 4″ in height, which would have been way better. The bridge is perfect, but the side… hmmmm….

Can’t wait to get down there for a little 02 session on that bad boy though… Been way too long since I have been to the deep blue…

Thanks for a great weekend. The staff is awesome. Special thanks to Bill for a great Wreck class, Dan for schlepping us around all weekend, Marcie, Eric, James, Sandy, Little Dan, Joey, and of course Jesus. Where else can you go and dive with Jesus as your guide ;-)

Was happy to be able to go out on the new boat on it’s second voyage. Great boat, beautiful day, what could have been better. I’ll see you all again in March!

It was a total suprise to us to be on the “maiden voyage” of the tropical adventure. We were accompanied by Jesus (A.K.A. PACO, JULIO, RAMIREZ, JUAN), “the greatest underwater eyes” I have ever dove with. On the dive we were greeted by sharks, goliath groupers, spotted eagle rays, eels and a variety of other sea life. It was a total blast and can’t wait to get back to diving with the group from Rainbow Reef. The boat was fast and smooth. Thanks for a supreme time, a professional staff, the comedy and of course, great dives!!!!! A+.
    See you all again soon.
